TGH are in trouble. They are in trouble and bleeding cash big time!
Mad Mike Pohio wants the tribe to agree to lifting the covenant that restricts TGH to carrying a restricted amount of debt.
$250 million worth of debt is not enough for Mad Mike Pohio and he wants more.
Are the tribal assets in trouble? Is the land safe? Will the banks start selling the tribal assets to cover debts?

Interesting web site. Perhaps TGH needs help to raise more funds. I know some folks who could be interested provided it is not a total basket case and they have some control?

Perhaps thats the reason Henry vander Heyden is recommending the winding up of Te Kauhanganui/Arataura & replacing them with ???TGH with an empahsis on economic increase and corporate development. What hes suggesting is dangerous & ludicrous, there was a reason for the creation of a tribal governance arm and that was to democratically represent the 63,000 Tainui beneficiaries of the 66 raupatu marae and to make sure the people had a forum to make their own decisions about what to do with their resources and receive all they were entitled to. His suggestion will simply enable the 4 T’s, Tuku Tuhei Timi & Tom to gain full control of the tribal purse without any accountability back to the people, it will mean a return to the exclsuive Boys club, where no females are allowed. Remember, Tuku & Tuhei arei legendary for spending up large like theres no tomorrow. BTW, we still waiting on the invoices from Rangi W for monies received from the tribe. If the plan goes ahead, be rest assured there’ll be no money left for our mokopuna.

Then how do you get rid of these bunch of vipers because to date it would appear that the 63,000 beneficiaries have no voice at all and have to resort to using a web site like this. Where is the so called democratic reps?

Which Temanawa on FB? There are many

@Charlie, 1. by not signing the kawenata that Tuhei is proposing pledging your allegiance to him, making him your mouthpiece & allowing him free access to your money, 2. by putting forward a resolution to TeKauhanganui to reject any move by Tuku or whoever in winding up/down TeKauhanganui, 3. by making sure your representative on TeKauhanganui speaks on your behalf & not sit on their asses keeping their mouth shut or sleeping & getting an attendance fee for no effort, 4.by not attending the propoganda filled poukai where they plan to promote their lies & deceit & shut down anyone who has a different view & which has moved right away from its original intent which was to support te pani, te pouaru me te rawakore. 5. By talking to your whanau letting them know whats really happening. Failing that, the people will be the biggest losers because they didnt or wouldnt stop it.

There is far more than that done already and being done so here is the choice – with me or not,. I do not have time to be caught up in the raruraru. I am doing not talking.

@charlie & @tainui.hard – tautoko everything you have both said. The so called democratic reps seem to be in favour of the four Ts of Tainui all old men who have passed their expiry date and resorting to kingitanga to gamer support from the iwi. God help us.
