The news is out – they’re staging a coup. Big on lies and unmatched greed, Tuku Morgan has offered the inducements of big paying management jobs and mo’ money to his fellow co-conspirators for their support of his coup which seeks to to destroy tribal democracy, and to use and abuse the resources of the tribe as exclusively his.
Driven by his own desperation and greed which was exacerbated even further when he couldn’t get the Te Kauhanganui chair thrown out by the high court, Tuku Morgan would attempt to have the whole Te Kauhanganui tribal parliament disbanded so that he can steal the lot for himself. A nasty plot!

As to incorporated societies its the quorum and members who vote there does not appear to be any thing in the constitution that gives an individual such power to close down our parliament so. to tell people not to attend the Jan session of parliament would leave to few to form voting power and is what is called misleading and far from humble.. .

You say that the topic was changed at the last minute to focus on Tuku rather than the maori king? You’re wrong on that point however, but perhaps you are confused by the recent Waikato Times article regarding the king’s comments at the first Poukai hui of the new year.
Believe us when we say that since August, Tuku Morgan has instructed the Chapman Tripp lawyers to investigate the manner of which to facilitate the dissoloution of the tribal parliament. Thats right, to get rid of the voices of the people so that a few can take sole control of the tribal resources without being hindered by the democratic process.
Before Morgan can begin the process of throwing Te Kauhanganui into the trash can he needs the support of the custodial trustees of which the maori king is one. You know that the maori king has his price and he doesn’t come cheaply. Moreover the king’s ego got smacked down when Te Kauhanganui didn’t listen to him when he wanted the chairwoman sacked, so he wouldn’t mind getting one back at them for that.
As you say they will be breaking the rules, but haven’t they been breaking the rules for the entirety of 2011?
So in the four month gap from December 2011 to March 2012 what do you think Tuku Morgan will be up to? How much more of the tribal purse will he have burned through by the time they meet again at the beginning of March? The rumors are true that there has been massive overspending and now management CEO Patsy Mclean is finding it difficult to pay the accounts, apparently they are owing for many unpaid bills due to a huge shortage of cash. So much for being a part of a wealthy tribe.
