“Mr Finlayson said that between November 16, 2008, and March 1, 2010, the Office of Treaty Settlements paid Mr Morgan $171,093 for facilitation work with a number of claimant groups.”

Morgan needs to realize who exactly he is working for. Morgan has shown absolutely no respect for the mana of Te Kauhanganui and the ordinary people of Tainui, however, he has been pocketing a tidy sum while working on the side for the government…

Yes and although Mr Morgan’s reputation did precede him, i.e. all the controversy around dodgy dealings and investigations by the fraud squad. Tainui still made him the Chairman. Come on Tainui, wake up to his lies. All he is interested in is setting himself and his cronies up to reap all the benefits, while our kaumatua, rangatahi, and tamariki fall by the way side.
I would love forensic accountants to look at Te Arataura’s books. Bonuses, (paid to himself by himself, as he became the interim cheque signer) days after Mr Hemi Rau was sacked. which was endorsed by the Executive board,. Honorarium increases, Hotel bills ranging between $5000 and $10000 a night in some cases. One executive board MEETING held at Novotel Tainui that cost the tribe $35,000. Come on Tainui, I am sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.
How dare he even claim he is working for his iwi. It is down right insulting!!!!
