There’s Hope

Hope that the hypocrisy will stop.

For instance its come to our attention that Tuku Morgan, Charles Joe, and Parekawhia Mclean placed an ad in the Waikato Times which advertised the cancellation of last Sunday’s Feb 12 Triennial Meeting. Then they attended the meeting which they supposedly abandoned.

The Maori king told marae representatives to boycott the meeting but his own representative Greg Miller was there too.

With the so-called tribal leadership suffering from a total absence of integrity, we’re glad that some of the crooked execs got wiped out.

There were high fives all round when it was announced that Charles Joe, Patience Te Ao, Robert Tukiri, Maxine Moana, Timi Maipi (thankyou Jazz) and Tuku had been given the boot.

Tuku's Te Arataura committee leaves behind ruined finances, a bit like this wrecked locomotive

In their wake, with millions blown, they leave behind a train wreck of the tribal finances. What a pity that Rahui Papa and Rukumoana Schaafhousen didn’t get the sack too. They’re just as responsible as Tuku and co. for the mess that was left behind for the tribe to clean up.

Sonny Wilson was the only one who worked for the benefit of the people. He was the only good guy among a bunch of rotten crooks and we’re glad that he’s back in. It’s been reported that Tuku would taunt Sonny Wilson about his heart problem, by saying to Sonny that he would be glad when he’s finished off for good and that it would happen soon… look who’s gone now!

It’s kind of funny that the person running this blog can live in secrecy but is really quick to name others. I dont know if you can really say people were ousted when they weren’t technically on at the beginning of voting. I also think it’s sad that people who believe they were serving the iwi, are treated so harshly at the end of it all. It’s kind of like the NZ mentality is we only support the victorious and rubbish everyone else. That’s the most non Maori thing I can think of. Why cant people just be gracious about these things. You win some and you lose some… life goes on. We all still are someones sister, brother, father, mother, daughter, son etc etc … Sorry but I’d much rather watch Whitney Houston videos that read this stuff any more.

What planet are you on? Not this one it seems…

You can be as technical as you want but we all reckon that they were ousted! It seems that you aren’t happy with the outcome of the election?

In case you need to be brought up to speed… we aren’t of the opinion that these self serving hypocrites are acting in the interest of the iwi. Why else would they refuse to tell their main stakeholders about pay rises they gave themselves, about companies they set up, about spending millions of dollars on legal and other rubbish, about abusing the wealth of the tribe to destroy a woman and her family because she had the gall to ask for financial accountability.

It all sounds unbelieveably ridiculous, but its all true.

      It should never happen again.

I agree with your earlier comment of how It’s kind of funny that the person running this blog can live in secrecy but is really quick to name others.

He/she is fast to criticize and ridicule without first taking into consideration the effects that his/her comments have on the individuals they have made the comments about. If your soul purpose is to inform the people, why the malicious and cruel comments. Show courage and reveal yourself. It is clear to see by your comments that you have some type of connection and grudge against these members……….Sadly I do not know most of these people, but over the years I have had many opportunities to witness the positive effects that Robert Tukiri Jnr has had on the Huntly community, before, during and after his time with Te Arataura.

He has shown himself to be of high character and has shown great integrity. He has helped many in need and often has donated his last dollar. He also has dedicated many years service to one our local primary schools. In regards to your slogan ‘Welcome to the best of and number one site for tainui info’…..well its great to see that you have identified there is a need for action. That our trust board has not done what it was originally set up for, that we as a people deserve the truth….

I would suggest that it would be more productive to share possible solutions, ideas for change or identify meetings where we could attend and share our concerns in an open forum. Because if all we do is get on the net and complain and whine, that is all we are going to be WHINERS! and still the injustices will continue.

Hemi Rau was interviewed by RadioNZ & says citizen paki has control of te arataura via his representative!

The following is a summary of his audio interview:

    http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/temanukorihi

Discussions on hold as Te Arataura chair not re-elected

High-powered discussions in Waikato-Tainui are on hold following tribal elections that saw Tukoroirangi Morgan fail to be re-elected as chair of the executive.

The elections were held in Hopuhopu near Ngaruawahia at the weekend.
Nine of 10 members were voted on to the tribal executive, Te Arataura, during the Triennial Special General Meeting but Te Arataura chair Mr Morgan was not among them.

An iwi spokesperson says, for now, Te Arataura is in limbo. He says high-powered meetings such as treaty negotiations and meetings with Crown representatives are on hold until a new chair is elected.

In the meantime, he says Te Arataura is in the hands of a representative appointed by the Maori King.

The representative will be charged with convening an election – probably within a fortnight.

Mr Morgan plans to filed legal action challenging Sunday’s election results.

They have already shown their true colours, what more do we want. So the dictators got some control after all, if we continue to let that happen ALL is LOST and those idiots that put him their will have pulled us all down. What dirty politics, we are better than this, it is time to act and get rid of those who are working for their own power and glory rather than ours.

THE KINGITANGA SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN POLITICS OR DECISION MAKING WHEN IT CAME TO GOVERNANCE….THE KINGITANGA WAS SET UP UNDER THE SAME CONSTITUTION AS ENGLISH MONARCHY WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF UNITING ALL MAORI……THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND HAS NO INFLUENCE INTO GOVERNANCE OF ENGLAND. THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND FORMED A GOVERNMENT TO TAKE CARE BUSINESS FOR THEM…THAT IS WHAT WE CALL DEMOCRACY.

Forgive my ingnorance being new to this forum and all the the infighting within Tainui but I thought the King was just King of Huntly so how much damage can this guy do. His powers surely should be limited to ceremonial events only.

I do not mean to be condescending or disrespectful but whats this fullahs role?
To me Tainui have a great business arm from what I have seen of TGH and a very smart guy running it so why is the political arm such a f**k up.

I have been in business for many years and worked for corporates and some of them were absolute dogs. They would sell their own grannies for a couple of bucks
and these people thought they were so clever.

However I did learn a few tricks and when you go in with a new broom you sweep all the trash out the door in one foul swoop and clean the joint up as quick as you can because it does cause ill feeling that has to be managed.

There is no letter i in the word team so how does it all get resolved in the end or do maoris just love fighting and sticking it up each other!

What a joke, some nobody that obivously is a Tanya Martin Lackey has decided to start a blog and shoot invisible arrows at people from behind a computer screen. This is not a Tainui site, this is a F#$% Tuku and the King and anyone else that diagrees with Tania Martin Site.

I sdont know who you are but I will make some statements about who you are without knowing who you are:

You are female, between 25 and 50, from Hiona Marae, a relative of Tania Martins or the Katipa’s. A spiteful person that probably doesnt have many real friends.

If you have such an important opinion why did you not get elected to Te Kauhnaganui…or did you? 🙂 That would cut it down to one of 3 people wouldnt it?
Its sad that you Eraka would be so desparate enough for publicity of your views that you would stoop to this…pathetic!
